💥🙏NEW UNIVERSITY FARM FOR TE.PA.K
University farm in Lofou is acquired by the Cyprus University of Technology, for the operational needs of the Faculty of Geotechnical Sciences and Environmental Management.
The creation of the university farm is an important event in terms of expanding the infrastructure of the University, in particular the School of Geotechnical Sciences, as well as in the provision of know-how in the rural world.
On the farm there will be scientific research by the teaching staff, laboratory exercises and experimental work of undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as the practical training of the students. The site will be used for horticulture and vineyard installation.
The land lease agreement was signed yesterday at the Rectorate, Rector of TEPAK, Professor Andreas Aigiotos and Metropolitan of Limassol Athanasios, as the land belongs to the ecclesiastical committee of Panayia Lofou.
Nikos Spyros, the mayor of Lofos, described it as a historic yesterday, as he said that the agreement will upgrade the wider region and especially the wine villages, giving impetus to the development of the community.
