💥💥A PLAN FOR MARITIME TRAFFIC is promoted by the Municipality of Limassol
In anticipation of the study results, which will demonstrate the viability or not of a plan for sea taxis and aisle traffic, is the Limassol Municipality so that, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, the optimal model for this project can be developed.
In his statements in "Economy Today", the City Planning Officer and Architect of the Municipality of Limassol Stelios Stylianidis said among others that as it emerged from the planning, the project can find wide applicability to the citizens and visitors of the wider city of Limassol, even for leisure purposes.
The simulation study was undertaken by the Thessaloniki-based transport and transportation consultancy "Tredit SA", based in Thessaloniki, which has produced similar studies in many coastal cities in Greece.
The study is being drafted within the framework of the European SUMPORT program on sustainable port mobility and is expected to be completed before April 2019, when data evaluation will begin.
According to Mr. Stylianidis, if the results of the study show that the project is viable and profitable, an open competition will be launched and the investor selected to undertake the project will probably proceed with its implementation, self-financing.
