💥💥RECORD OF TOURISTS ARRIVALS IN OCTOBER💥💥
A new historical record was recorded by tourist arrivals in October 2018, which amounted to 433,617, as well as for the first ten months of the year to 683,581.
According to CYSTAT data, tourist arrivals in October 2018 amounted to 433,617 compared to 406,870 in October 2017 and were the highest in Cyprus to date in October.
For the period January - October 2018, tourist arrivals amounted to 3,673,377 compared to 3,408,473 in the corresponding period of 2017, recording an increase of 7.8%, but also exceeding the arrivals that were never recorded in Cyprus during the first ten months year.
Arrivals from the United Kingdom increased by 12.4% in October 2018 compared to October 2017, while a 4.8% increase from Sweden and a 2.0% increase from Greece.
On the contrary, there was a 4.5% decrease in tourist arrivals from Russia and a 19.0% decrease from Germany.
According to the Statistical Service, the United Kingdom is the main source of tourism for Cyprus in October 2018, with 34.9% followed by Russia with 19.2%, Germany with 5.9% and Sweden with 4.6%.
